THE NOMINEES FOR the GAA-GPA Opel player of the month awards for June have been revealed with Galway, Donegal, Dublin, Kilkenny, Waterford and Tipperary all represented.
Galway midfielder Paul Conroy, Donegal player Ryan McHugh and Dublin’s Diarmuid Connolly are in the running for the football accolade.
Kilkenny’s Jonjo Farrell, Waterford’s Austin Gleeson and Tipperary’s Cathal Barrett will battle it out for the hurling award.

Conroy was man-of-the-match in Galway’s stirring success against Mayo in the Connacht semi-final, McHugh has been central to Donegal’s progress to another Ulster decider while Connolly starred for Dublin in their Leinster championship wins over Laois and Meath.
Farrell shot 1-5 from play last month as Kilkenny defeated Dublin, Gleeson was magnificent in Waterford’s success against Clare while Barrett impressed in Tipperary’s win over Limerick.
The winners will be announced on Thursday 14 July.
