Here are the 6 nominees for the GAA player of the month awards but who gets your vote?

The winners will be announced on Wednesday 8 June.

THE NOMINEES FOR the GAA-GPA Opel player of the month awards for May have been revealed with Offaly, Tyrone, Cavan, Dublin, Westmeath and Tipperary all represented.

Offaly forward Niall McNamee, Tyrone attacker Ronan O’Neill and Cavan player Martin Reilly are in the running for the football accolade.

McNamee struck 0-4 in Offaly’s win over Longford in Leinster, O’Neill bagged 2-2 in Tyrone’s victory against Derry in Ulster while in the same province last Sunday, Reilly raised a green flag for Cavan against Armagh.

In the hurling category, Dublin’s Niall McMorrow, Westmeath’s Derek McNicholas and Tipperary’s John O’Dwyer are the players nominated.

McMorrow struck 0-4 in their Leinster championship tie against Wexford, McNicholas hit 2-8 in Westmeath’s three round-robin victories in Leinster while O’Dwyer chipped in with 0-7 for Tipperary against Cork.

The winners will be chosen by the inter-county playing body and will be announced at a presentation at Croke Park on Wednesday 8 June.
