Here's the players who make the shortlist for the GAA-GPA Hurler of the Year awards

We’re set for Tipperary and Waterford battles.

THE NOMINATIONS HAVE  been released for this year’s GAA-GPA Hurling Player of the Year and the Young Player of the Year.

All-Ireland champions Tipperary have attacker Seamus Callanan and defender Padraic Maher in the hunt for the leading honour along with Waterford’s outstanding talent Austin Gleeson.

Mount Sion player Gleeson is also set to challenge for the Young Player of the Year award while his Waterford team-mate Shane Bennett is also nominated here. Tipperary’s Ronan Maher completes this line-up.
