Floyd Mayweather has splashed out nearly $5million for a new car

We’re unsure if that price also includes free roadside assistance.

WHEN YOU’RE THE world’s richest athlete, you can afford to spend $4.8million on a car.

That’s exactly what dominant world boxing champion Floyd Mayweather has done, as he revealed on Instagram that he has purchased a Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita.

Mayweather is now just one of two owners of the rare vehicle in the entire world and the only one in the USA, according to the man himself.

The car can go from zero to 100km/h in just 2.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 410km/h. Apparently it also has a CD player.

Not bad, Floyd, but when you’re cruising down the freeway in your Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita, remember that you could have been the proud owner of 240 Opel Corsas for the same price.
