IRELAND’S FIONA DOYLE will get a chance to add to her 100 metre breaststroke bronze at tomorrow morning’s 50 metre final in the same discipline at the World University Games.
The Limerick woman was joined in the semi-finals by Sycerika McMahon who narrowly missed out on qualifying despite finishing fourth in a time of 31.94.
Doyle claimed her final block with a 31.21 finish, but will take inspiration from her Irish record (30.93) that she can still keep pace with the pace set by Ukraine’s Mariia Liver (30.69) and USA’s Lillia King (30.78).
