TONIGHT’S SSE AIRTRICITY Premier Division fixture between Finn Harps and Drogheda United has been called off due to heavy rainfall, which has made the pitch unplayable.
The game was due to kick-off at 8pm in Finn Park, and a pitch inspection carried out earlier today indicated that the game would go ahead.
But weather conditions have worsened due to the arrival of Storm Brian, which has forced the postponement of the game.
A date for the rescheduled fixture is due to be announced soon, according to the Finn Harps’ official Twitter page.
Harps are currently in 10th place in the Premier Division and are in danger of facing the drop to the First Division, with just two games remaining.
Meanwhile, Drogheda have already been relegated from the top flight and are rooted to the bottom of the table.
