MARTIN O’NEILL HAS named a 25-man final squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Georgia (2 September) and Serbia (5 September).

Jon Walters, who had been an injury doubt, is included, though James McCarthy (hamstring), Eunan O’Kane (groin) and Jeff Hendrick (quad) are absent through injury, though Martin O’Neill added in his press conference today that there was a chance Hendrick could still be fit for the Serbia game.

Preston striker Sean Maguire also misses the cut, having been included in the provisional squad.

Keiren Westwood (knee), David Meyler (knee) and Jonathan Walters (ankle) did not take a full part in training today as a precautionary measure, but all three are expected to be involved from Tuesday.

Aiden McGeady and David McGoldrick will also link up with the squad tomorrow, having been given extra time away from camp for personal reasons.

Aside from Maguire and the aforementioned injured players, the other individuals named in the provisional squad to miss the cut are Colin Doyle, Matt Doherty, Greg Cunningham (who is also injured), John Egan, Alex Pearce, Paul McShane, Stephen Quinn, Liam Kelly, Alan Browne and Kevin Doyle.
