This ex-Chelsea player is the latest to have a cut off of Jose Mourinho

Filipe Luis was brought to the London side in 2014 and sold a year later.

FORMER CHELSEA DEFENDER Filipe Luis has claimed that the way Jose Mourinho has spoken about some of his players has been ‘damaging’.

The left-back, signed by Mourinho in 2014 and sold to Atletico Madrid a year later, says that not everyone takes such criticism positively and it may have contributed to certain individuals’ below-par performances so far this season.

Speaking to Yahoo, the Brazilian international said:

“He has his way of talking to the press, especially when the team loses, which can sometimes be damaging to certain players. Some players benefit from criticism but for others they don’t.

“Sometimes he’s right and sometimes he’s not. Sometimes people think what he says is absurd and sometimes they agree with him. It’s the way he is and the way he works — I see it as normal.”

Earlier this week, former Chelsea captain Frank Leboeuf said that he felt Mourinho had lost the dressing room.
