McFadden cited for high hit in Edinburgh win

The Leinster winger will have a disciplinary hearing this week after the challenge on Damien Hoyland.

LEINSTER’S FERGUS MCFadden has been cited for his high challenge on Edinburgh winger Damien Hoyland.

The Ireland winger made the tackle in the 78th minute of Friday’s Pro12 clash at the RDS, which the province won 30-23.

McFadden, who scored two tries on the night, wasn’t carded at the time but he will now face a hearing later this week after a ruling by the Independent Citing Commissioner.
