Lazio deny reports they have agreed to sell Felipe Anderson to Man United

The Brazilian has been linked with a move to Old Trafford for some time.

LAZIO PRESIDENT CLAUDIO Lotito has claimed midfielder Felipe Anderson will join Manchester United this summer for €60 million, but the club have denied any deal is in place.

Lotito appeared to confirm an agreement had been made for the Brazilian to move to Old Trafford at the end of the season but the Serie A club have since quashed those reports.

In a statement released this afternoon, Lazio say there is no foundation to the reports.

“In reference to the statements attributed to President Claudio Lotito regarding the alleged sale of the player Felipe Anderson, SS Lazio notes that these reports are devoid of any foundation,” it read.

United have been linked with the 22-year-old for some time and Lazio revealed they rejected several bids from the Premier League club last summer.

Quotes attributed to Lazio’s president surfaced in Italian media on Monday, suggesting Anderson was set for an imminent move to Mancheser.

The Brazilian international joined Lazio from Santos in June 2013 and has attracted the attention of some of Europe’s top clubs.

He has scored six Serie A goals in 24 appearances this term.
