Rumoured Man United target nets for fourth game in a row as new-look PSG are humbled

Jose Mourinho is believed to have his eye on Brazilian defender Fabinho.

FABINHO IS A Brazilian right-back who made his name at Portuguese side Rio Ave before joining Monaco last year.

The 22-year-old has been linked with a move to Manchester United in recent days as Jose Mourinho remains unhappy with his defensive options.

He’s reportedly been keen on Fabinho for a while and, as well as being solid at the back, the full-back has another string to his bow: penalty-taking.

He’s struck four times in his last four games for the Ligue 1 side – all of the goals coming from the spot.

His latest came last night as Monaco conjured a 3-1 win over reigning champions PSG.

Fabinho grabbed his side’s second after Joao Moutinho had given them a 13th-minute lead. Edison Cavani pulled one back for the Parisians but an own-goal from Serge Aurier ensured a comfortable three points.

It was an early setback for Unai Emery.

The former Sevilla boss replaced Laurent Blanc as PSG’s manager in the summer but has had to contend with the loss of some key players, most notably Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Still, with Angel di Maria, Blaise Matuidi and a host of other top-drawer names, he’s under pressure to continue the club’s domination of French domestic football this term.
