EX-GERMANY GOALKEEPER Tim ‘The Machine’ Wiese has made a winning start to life in WWE.

The 34-year-old made his long-awaited debut in Munich, after making the decision to quit football and turn to wrestling in 2014.

And there was at least one familiar face watching on, as Arsenal captain Per Mertesacker — Wiese’s former teammate for both Germany and Werder Bremen — was among those in attendance.

Wiese joined Cesaro and Sheamus to take on Bo Dallas and The Shining Stars in a tag-team match.

And the German star ultimately gave the crowd a moment to remember as he utilised his signature body splash move before pinning his opponent for the three-count.

Wiese, who won six caps for Germany and was part of their 2010 World Cup squad, has been training at the WWE performance centre in Orlando, Florida.
