St Pat's, Cork, Shamrock Rovers and UCD will be pleased after learning Europa League fate

The SSE Airtricity League clubs are set for trips to Luxembourg, Latvia and Iceland.

THE LEAGUE OF Ireland’s four representatives in this season’s Europa League have discovered their opponents this afternoon.

After SSE Airtricity League champions Dundalk were paired with BATE Borisov in the Champions League second round qualifiers, it was the turn of St Patrick’s Athletic, Cork City, Shamrock Rovers and UCD in Uefa’s secondary club football tournament.

FAI Cup holders St Pat’s will meet Latvian side Skonto FC of Riga, while Cork City are also away in their first leg when they travel to Iceland to play KR Reykjavík.

Shamrock Rovers and Fair Play winners UCD have both been pitted against oppoents from Luxembourg, meanwhile. Elsewhere, West Ham will meet Andorrans FC Lusitans.

The first round qualifiers will take place on 2 & 9 July.

  • Cork City v KR Reykjavík (Iceland) 
  • UCD v F91 Dudelange (Luxembourg)
