Home comforts for Leinster and Ulster while Munster head to France for European opener

EPCR have announced the 2017-18 fixture details.

THE FIXTURE DETAILS have this afternoon been revealed for the first four rounds of pool fixtures in the 2017-18 European Champions Cup and Challenge Cup.

Ulster will be the first Irish side into Champions Cup action when they host Wasps on the evening of Friday, 13 October — which will get this season’s competition underway.

Leinster will welcome Montpellier to Dublin for a lunchtime kick-off the following afternoon, before Munster play Castres in France on Sunday, 15 October.

Connacht will also begin their European campaign in France. Kieran Keane’s side take on Oyonnax in the Challenge Cup on Saturday, 14 October.

All 40 matches in the first four rounds of the Champions Cup will be broadcast live in Ireland on either BT Sport or Sky Sports.

The dates, kick-off times and TV coverage for the fixtures in rounds five and six in both tournaments will be announced in December following the completion of the round four matches.
