ENGLAND CRASHED OUT of the Women’s World Cup in the cruellest circumstances as a 92nd-minute own goal cost them a place in the final.
Laura Bassett spectacularly turned the ball into her own net to hand holders Japan a 2-1 win and a showdown with the USA on Sunday.
Japan had taken the lead through an Aya Miyama penalty in the 33rd minute before Fara Williams equalised from the spot seven minutes later.
