Three Cavan men couldn't stop Enda Smith on his 60-yard solo run to score

Roscommon came out on top in Breffni Park this afternoon.

THIS SUPERB SOLO effort from Enda Smith helped Roscommon into Round 3 of the All-Ireland football qualifiers.

His goal early in the second half set the Rossies on their way to a seven-point win against Cavan, 3-17 to 1-16.

The Boyle forward picked up the ball 60 yards from goal and shrugged off the tackle of three Cavan defenders before rolling the ball past Raymond Galligan.

There was a hint of a double-hop just before Smith finished, although referee David Gough may have felt that the retreating James McEnroe stripped possession on the second occasion.
