THREE LIVE GAA games will be broadcast simultaneously on television for the first time this spring as part of eir Sport’s 23-game package in the Allianz football and hurling league games.
The broadcaster – which was rebranded from Setanta Sports last summer – announced its 2017 springtime GAA package which features five ‘triple-headers’.
The action begins on 4 February and runs until 25 March with 16 televised Gaelic football games seven in hurling.
Beaten All-Ireland finalists Mayo are first up with their game against Monaghan on the opening night, which will also see broadcasts of the match between Down and Fermanagh, and Laois against Louth.
All-Ireland football champions Dublin will feature in four live matches while reigning hurling kingpins Tipperary will be televised twice.
Here’s the rundown of what’s in store.
