Manchester derby the pick of the ties in the last 16 of the EFL Cup

Liverpool face Tottenham, Chelsea take on West Ham and Arsenal play Reading.

A MEETING OF Manchester rivals United and City will be the highlight of the fourth round of the EFL Cup when it resumes next month.

The draw for the last 16 of the competition, which City won last season, was made this evening and it paired Jose Mourinho’s United with Pep Guardiola’s Premier League leaders.

The teams met earlier this month at Old Trafford, where City were 2-1 winners, but United will have home advantage again, with all fourth-round ties due to be played on the week commencing 24 October.

United delivered an unconvincing performance tonight en route to a 3-1 win away to Northampton Town, while City were 2-1 winners against Swansea in Wales.

Elsewhere in the draw, Chelsea will be away to West Ham in a London derby, Arsenal will host Reading and Liverpool will welcome Tottenham to Anfield.
