Eddie Jones' self-imposed media ban lasted almost four full days, but HE'S BACK!

The RFU posted Jones’ ‘only interview’ today and also give us a sneak peek inside England training.

“FROM THIS PRESS conference onwards,” said England Head coach Eddie Jones on Saturday evening, “I’m putting a media ban on myself…”

We knew well he wouldn’t be able to bite his tongue for long, but a mere four days later he shot this video for the RFU (who call it ‘his only interview’) while his team trained in the relatively open environment of the University of Bath gym.

“It’s a good opportunity for the assistant coaches to do some work in the media,” Jones says with more than a hint of a smile before he reminds everyone just how much he has improved the mood around the Chariot.

“It’s fantastic that there’s so much media interest in the England rugby team having come off a World Cup that wasn’t very successful, Now, moving forward, for the media interest to be as high as it has been is just great for the sport and great for the team.”

Listen to much more of what the Grand Slam-chasing Jones has to say in the above video, but also watch for some of the interesting groundwork drills England do indoors.
