Bohemians get much-needed boost with return of ex-Derby defender

Dylan Hayes is expected to go straight into the squad for tomorrow night’s visit of Bray Wanderers.

BOHEMIANS HAVE CONFIRMED that Dylan Hayes has returned to the club ahead of tomorrow night’s Premier Division clash with Bray Wanderers.

It’s a boost for Bohs manager Keith Long, who’s expected to put Hayes straight into his squad for the game at Dalymount Park as they search for their first points of the season.

The Gypsies started the campaign with a 4-1 home defeat to Derry City, before going down 2-1 away to rivals Shamrock Rovers last Friday.

Hayes spent the last two years with Bohemians, having followed Keith Long to Dalymount Park from Athlone Town at the end of the 2014 season.

The 21-year-old right-back, who featured for Bray in pre-season games, wasn’t part of the Bohs squad at the beginning of the year, but he has now returned for his third season with the club.

An Irish underage international, Hayes joined Derby County at the age of 16 and spent three seasons with the club before returning to Ireland in the summer of 2014 to sign for Athlone.
