KILKENNY ALL-IRELAND winning goalkeeper David Herity has been appointed as the new manager of the Dublin senior camogie team.

Herity’s selection was rubber-stamped last night at a Dublin camogie board executive committee meeting.

A winner of five All-Ireland senior hurling medals with Kilkenny, Herity retired from the inter-county game in November 2014.

Last year he was part of the Dublin senior camogie setup and takes over from outgoing manager Shane O’Brien.

Dublin reached the quarter-finals of the All-Ireland senior camogie championship in 2015 but lost out in the group stages this season.
