Tullamore beckons next Saturday for the Dublin and Galway hurlers

The details have been announced for the Leinster quarter-final replay.

TULLAMORE BECKONS NEXT Saturday for the Dublin and Galway senior hurlers after today’s draw in the Leinster championship.

Aidan Harte’s late point rescued a draw for Galway as they finished level at 1-17 to 0-20 against Ger Cunningham’s Dublin team in Croke Park.

Their quarter-final clash will now be replayed next Saturday in O’Connor Park in Tullamore with a throw-in time of 4.45pm.

It’s part of a double-header with the Leinster senior football quarter-final between Kildare and Laois already fixed for the venue at 7pm next Saturday night.

Dublin and Galway last clashed in Tullamore in the 2011 Leinster senior hurling semi-final, a game where Dublin triumphed in by 0-19 to 2-7.

It remains to be seen whether the Dublin-Galway game will be televised live. Sky Sports 2015 GAA coverage begins with the broadcasting of the Kildare-Laois game but RTÉ could opt to show the Dublin-Galway clash live.

RTÉ will be showing the Champions League final between Barcelona and Juventus in Berlin next Saturday night but the hurling match may be televised beforehand.
