Welcome back to this evening’s football liveblog, as Dublin and Cork prepare to do battle in a Division 1 Allianz League clash at Croke Park. There’s already been a big win for the Dublin hurlers against Cork – and you can find out how they did it by clicking here. For a blow by blow account of the hurling clash, here’s how it panned out on our liveblog.

Almost ready to go at Croke Park

A few late changes for Cork – Mark Collins, Colm O’Neill and Kevin Crowley all in. James Loughrey, Daniel Goulding and Brian Hurley don’t start.

3 mins – Dublin 0-0 Cork 0-1

Colm O’Neill puts Cork ahead with a free.

Jonny Cooper flirting with a black card there as Cork’s Mark Collins wins a free.

9 mins – Dublin 0-0 Cork 0-2

Colm O’Neill kicks his second free.

10 mins – Dublin 0-0 Cork 0-3

Quick thinking from a Cork free results in a Colm O’Neill point, his third.

11 mins – Dublin 0-0 Cork 0-4

Some start this from Cork as Paul Kerrigan kicks their fourth point.

Cork appear to be a united bunch so far, and they certainly were during the National Anthem:

Tommy Grealy / INPHO Tommy Grealy / INPHO / INPHO

The Dublin team stand to attention before throw-in:

Tommy Grealy / INPHO Tommy Grealy / INPHO / INPHO

We don’t often say this after almost 17 minutes of play but Dublin yet to score. Cork working very hard to shut down the options for their opponents.

Do you agree with this from former Mayo player Michael Moyles?

PENALTY FOR CORK!

Philly McMahon pulls down Peter Kelleher and here’s a big chance for Cork.

GOAL FOR CORK!

20 mins – Dublin 0-0 Cork 1-4

Colm O’Neill belts his penalty past Michael Savage and Cork are flying.

GOAL FOR DUBLIN!

22 mins – Dublin 1-0 Cork 1-4

Typical Dublin as they unleash with a lovely goal, Bernard Brogan’s offload finished by Diarmuid Connolly for his third goal of the League campaign.

23 mins – Dublin 1-1 Cork 1-4

Dublin appear to have woken up as Paddy Andrews knocks over a classy point.

GOAL FOR CORK!

29 mins – Dublin 1-1 Cork 2-4

Peter Kelleher nets from close range but credit to Paul Kerrigan with a brilliant assist after he collected what looked like a lost cause on the endline.

31 mins – Dublin 1-1 Cork 2-5

Luke Connolly with a Cork point from a free.

32 mins – Dublin 1-2 Cork 2-5

Brilliant Diarmuid Connolly point with a free from the hand.

33 mins – Dublin 1-2 Cork 2-6

Colm O’Driscoll kicks a super long-range point for Cork into Hill 16.

35 mins – Dublin 1-2 Cork 2-7

Another Cork point as a long ball into the Dublin goalmouth causes havoc.

We’re into 2 minutes of additional time at the end of the first half.

Half-time – Dublin 1-3 Cork 2-7

Diarmuid Connolly knocks over a 45 on the stroke of half-time to keep Dublin clinging to Cork’s coattails at the break. Impressive stuff from the visitors.

It’s been good stuff from Cork in the opening half. Colm O’Neill rattled home this penalty:

Ryan Byrne / INPHO Ryan Byrne / INPHO / INPHO

After brilliant work from skipper Paul Kerrigan, here’s Peter Kelleher celebrating Cork’s second goal of the night:

Here are the half-time thoughts from our GAA editor Fintan O’Toole at Croke Park:

It’s a far different Cork team to that present in Páirc Uí Rinn last Sunday. They’re more organised in defence and are flooding bodies back to frustrate Dublin. Colm O’Neill has made a big impact since being introduced while Peter Kelleher continues to look a real find. Dublin plenty to do to fight back here

Grab a cuppa and we’ll see you back here in time for the second half.

Some half-time scores to bring you from tonight’s other games:

Allianz Football League

Division 2
Cavan 1-11 Armagh 0-5
Tyrone 0-10 Derry 0-6

Division 4
Waterford 0-3 Wexford 0-6

Allianz Hurling League

Division 1B
Clare 1-13 Laois 0-9

John Conlon has netted Clare’s first half goal against Laois in the hurling. Eye-catching score in Division 2 of the football, where Cavan lead Armagh by 1-11 to 0-5 at half-time. Seanie Johnston has scored 1-4 for Cavan.

Back underway at Croke Park.

Couple of half-time subs in for Dublin: John Small and Michael Fitzsimons in for Eric Lowndes and Brian Fenton

Cork’s desire for this one evident as they celebrate winning a free when James McCarthy is pulled for overcarrying.

39 mins – Dublin 1-4 Cork 2-7

Dublin with the opening score of the half. Diarmuid Connolly fouled but Cormac Costello steps up and kicks a fine point.

39 mins – Dublin 1-5 Cork 2-7

Two on the bounce from Dublin as Costello turns provider for Paddy Andrews.

Dublin upping the ante here and have the chance to reduce the deficit with a free.

43 mins – Dublin 1-6 Cork 2-7

Dublin back to within four points as Cormac Costello kicks another free.

43 mins – Dublin 1-7 Cork 2-7

Now just three between them as Diarmuid Connolly kicks a brilliant point with his left boot.

Daniel Goulding replaces Colm O’Neill on the Cork team.

Shane Carthy in for Emmet O’Conghaile on Dublin team. Both of their starting midfielders now withdrawn.

Bernard Brogan being taken off now, and replaced by Dean Rock on the Dublin team.

Killian O’Hanlon for Sean Kiely on the Cork team. Both managers running their benches here.

Cork could do with a score to settle them down again. It’s Dublin dominating the second half.

Let off for Dublin as Paul Kerrigan’s speculative effort is fisted goalwards by Peter Kelleher, whose effort strikes the base of the Dublin post.

Up the other end and Paddy Andrews wins a close-in free for Dublin.

Brian Hurley in for Cork, replacing Kevin O’Driscoll.

54 mins – Dublin 1-8 Cork 2-7

Cormac Costello converts the free won by Andrews. Five in a row for Dublin and six of the last seven scores.

Now Dublin have the chance to get within a single point as Ciaran Kilkenny wins a free.

55 mins – Dublin 1-9 Cork 2-7

Cormac Costello knocks over his fourth free and it’s a one-point game.

Cork were seven points clear in this game but now clinging on.

57 mins – Dublin 1-10 Cork 2-7

Dublin are relentless now and that man Costello levels it up with another free.

59 mins – Dublin 1-11 Cork 2-7

It almost seems inevitable now as Costello puts Dublin ahead for the first time in the game with yet another free.

60 mins – Dublin 1-12 Cork 2-7

And now Costello is on the mark from play with an excellent effort. Dublin two clear.

Dublin’s Jonny Cooper given his marching orders for a second bookable offence.

63 mins – Dublin 1-12 Cork 2-8

Cork with a badly needed score as Brian Hurley cuts the deficit to a single point against a Dublin team now playing with 14 men.

64 mins – Dublin 1-12 Cork 2-9

Ruairí Deane levels it up for Cork!

Here comes supersub Kevin McManamon on the Dublin team. Who’s going to push on and win this?

McManamon wins a free off the ball after coming on and Dublin have the chance to nudge ahead again.

67 mins – Dublin 1-13 Cork 2-9

Cormac Costello holds his nerve to kick his 8th point of the night, and his 7th free.

68 mins – Dublin 1-13 Cork 2-10

Great response from Cork! Ruairí Deane turns supplier and Mark Collins slots over the leveller.

McManamon wins another free and Dublin have the chance to move a point clear again.

69 mins – Dublin 1-14 Cork 2-10

Nerves of steel from Cormac Costello as he scores his 9th point.

We’re into 4 minutes of additional time.

Cork have come a long way in a week but they look set for another defeat, unless they can turn it around in the 2 minutes that remain.

Cork have given away some really unnecessary frees and that’s something Healy won’t be happy with.

Keep ball now from Dublin as they run down the clock…

GOAL FOR DUBLIN!

70+5 mins – Dublin 2-14 Cork 2-10

James McCarthy allowed to waltz through the Cork defence and he nets in front of Hill 16. That’s game over and four from four for the Dubs.

Full-time – Dublin 2-14 Cork 2-10

Massive victory for Dublin as they overturn a big deficit to maintain their 100 per cent start. Hugely encouraging first half display from a Cork side that leaked 4-25 against Roscommon last weekend but Dublin owned that second period.

Stay logged on for a full-time report from our GAA editor Fintan O’Toole, plus reaction from Croke Park.

That’s it from our liveblog. Thanks for joining us. Another big night for 14-man Dublin but Cork can surely build on this performance.

Tyrone 2-15 Derry 0-12
