Drogheda United 0-2 Finn Harps
DROGHEDA UNITED DROPPED to the bottom of the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division as goals from Eddie Dsane and Danny Morrissey earned Finn Harps a 2-0 win at United Park.
The visitors took the lead with the first chance of the game after being awarded a free kick for a foul on Eddie Dsane just outside the Drogheda box in the fourth minute. Dsane stepped up to take the free kick himself and placed it past Stephen McGuinness who was rooted to the spot.
Drogheda’s best chance of the first half came three minutes later as a move started by Thomas Byrne ended with the teenager hitting the crossbar with a superb effort from 30 yards.
Byrne went closest for Drogheda in the second half as he linked with Sean Brennan but fired his effort narrowly wide of Ciaran Gallagher’s goal.
However, it was Harps who had the better chances throughout and the Donegal outfit deservedly doubled their lead with 16 minutes to play.
Sean Houston picked the ball up in midfield, played a through ball to Danny Morrissey who finished past McGuinness from 18 yards .

That was one of the worst races I’ve seen in a long time, thank god for the late Ricciardo charge, I was literally falling asleep mid race. Would have been interesting if Mercedes had gone on the same strategy as red bull, might have been some more action for 2nd to 4th.
@Patrick Breen: Mexico is alway a dull race though
@Alan Lynch: I dunno is it always that dull, it’s definitely not the greatest circuit but that was on another level, I suppose as was said during the race there’s usually a safety car to spice things up. Roll on Interlagos anyway.
