Donncha O'Callaghan's Worcester debut involved a bizarre water-bottle incident

“The old, grey water-bottle theft”

MUNSTER LEGEND DONNCHA O’Callaghan made his first Premiership appearance for new club Worcester Warriors at the weekend, and it was a winning start for him, as his side shocked the Northampton Saints 13-12.

GJ Van Velze scored a try and a late drop goal from the boot of Tom Heathcote gave them victory against the Saints, for whom another former Munster man, JJ Hanrahan, was an unused substitute.

O’Callaghan played the full 80 minutes for his new side, but it was a bizarre incident with a Northampton water-carrier that seemed to stand out in the win.

With a break in play, a Saints water-carrier came onto the pitch, and in need of a sup of water, O’Callaghan went to take one of his bottles.

However, the carrier got very precious with the contents of his bottles, firstly trying to prevent O’Callaghan taking one, before trying to grab it back from him as he drank from it.

No manners at all on him.
