The pair, who’ll meet in the octagon tomorrow night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, resumed their back-and-forth verbal exchanges for six entertaining minutes, until presenters Jay Onrait and Dan O’Toole thanked them and sent them on their way.

But McGregor and Diaz weren’t finished just yet. The trash talk went on for another 90 seconds, the highlight of which was a wildlife-themed discussion that stemmed from McGregor’s earlier reference to Diaz’s team as “a bunch of gazelles”.
“Why’re you calling people gazelles too? You’ve got the weakest, lamest line-up of training partners I’ve ever even heard of,” Diaz fired back.
“I’m just looking at your little frame and it just reminds me of an injured gazelle, strapped up,” explained McGregor.
A confused Diaz responded: “People don’t know what that means. No one knows what that means, this is America. No one knows what a gazelle is anyway. It’s America, motherfucker. Get it right.”
And then they were finally done. Diaz went off to type “What the hell is a gazelle, motherfucker?” into Google, while McGregor retired to his rented mansion to reminisce about a happy childhood spent running around the streets of Crumlin, playing football and feeding custard creams to the local dogs, cats and antelope.
