The Dubliner and reigning UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos have already traded insults, and although he clearly has plenty of respect for McGregor, Nate Diaz is certainly interested in facing him in the octagon.
The controversial Californian told Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour: “Conor McGregor keeps talking about coming up and fighting dos Anjos. I don’t know what that’s going to do for him. Diaz, whose older brother Nick is also a former UFC title contender, was beaten by Benson Henderson in a bout for the UFC’s lightweight strap in 2012. The 29-year-old hasn’t fought since losing to current champion dos Anjos last December.
