Diarmuid Connolly showed off his hurling skills with 2 sublime points for his club yesterday

The St Vincent’s football captain helped his hurlers to Championship win over Setanta.

DUBLIN FOOTBALLER DIARMUID Connolly put his small ball skills on show yesterday as the St Vincent’s captain lined out for the club’s hurlers.

Vins ran out 3-23 to 0 -9 winners over Setanta in Group 4 of the Dublin Senior Championship.

Alan Moore netted a hat-trick of goals, but watch out for the two excellent points from Connolly coming after the 40 second mark below.

The dual player first unleashed a monster from his own 65 and from the puck-out, he collected a pass and veered to flank where he dummied a shot before converting with a fine shot off the left.
