Oscar de la Hoya invoked the spirit of Leicester City’s Premier League triumph in a — pretty flimsy — attempt to convince the world that Amir Khan actually has a chance against Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez tomorrow night.

“Who ever thought that Leicester City, who were 5000/1, would win the Uefa Cup?” he asked.

So close, Oscar, so close. Khan’s reaction says it all really.
