At the interval, Limerick IT were ahead 1-10 to 0-4 with Limerickโs Diarmuid Byrnes scoring their goal. Clareโs David Reidy and Peter Duggan both raised green flags in the second-half before Galwayโs Paul Killeen notched their fourth goal.
This afternoon in Group B, last yearโs finalists Waterford IT saw off St Patโs Drumcondra by 1-19 to 0-9.
At the break, Waterford IT trailed 0-6 to 0-4 but they completely took over proceedings in the second-half with Waterfordโs Austin Gleeson netting.

Waterfordโs Colin Dunford struck IT Carlowโs goal as they went in front 1-9 to 0-5 at the interval. Peter Hogan hit the net for DCU late on but it ended up a comfortable win for IT Carlow.
