'Done Deal' - Spain's biggest newspaper says De Gea is off to Real Madrid

The Manchester United goalkeeper has reportedly agreed to return to his homeland.

SPECULATION IS RIFE that Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea could be on his way back to the Spanish capital this summer.

The 24-year-old, who was bought for £17.8 million from Atletico Madrid in 2011, has been the Premier League club’s top performer this season with several fabulous displays.

Real Madrid are in the market for a new number one and Spanish publication Marca claim today that De Gea has agreed to join them on a five-year deal. They have gone with the headline: ‘Done Deal’.

It would be hugely disappointing for Louis van Gaal to lose one of his best players and he would need to find a replacement for next season — although recent signing Victor Valdes could be a possible short-term option.
