Ex-England footballer David Bentley scored 3 points on his Crossmaglen debut

It seems the former Tottenham winger is a natural.

DAVID BENTLEY, ONCE of England and Tottenham Hotspur, lined out for Crossmaglen Rangers tonight in his very first Gaelic football match.

The 30-year-old, who retired from professional football two years ago, has joined the Ulster club for a short spell as part of TV3 documentary The Toughest Trade, which sees Aaron Kernan also switch codes and head to Sunderland.

Crossmaglen played Silverbridge in a challenge match and Bentley proved a natural — kicking three points (two from frees).
