DANIEL STURRIDGE HAS signed a new long-term Liverpool contract worth up to a reported £150,000 per week.
The striker said: “It feels great. It’s a big, big day in my life to commit to this club and to give the club my best years, which are ahead of me.”

Sturridge had four years to run on his existing Anfield deal but Liverpool moved to secure his long-term future with a bumper payrise.
The 25-year-old scored 21 goals in the Premier League last season, second only to team-mate Luis Suarez, and is now the leading man following the Uruguayan’s departure to Barcelona.
In a statement released on Friday evening, Liverpool did not disclose the length of Sturridge’s contract or any other details.
He said: “There are a lot of things I’m happy with how they’ve gone so far, but there is a lot to come. I’ve not shown yet what I can do – what I’m doing is just the start for me.
I may have had some good games and scored some goals, but literally this is the beginning in terms of what I can show. I don’t feel I’ve shown really what I can do as a footballer.
“I am looking forward to the hard work, the training, the games and everything – and looking forward to the future.”
Sturridge has missed Liverpool’s last six games through injury and was yesterday excused from Roy Hodgson’s England squad for the Euro 2016 qualifiers against San Marino and Estonia.
