Daniel Sturridge is injured. Again. No, we're not messing

Striker set to miss “weeks” with hamstring strain, BBC report.

DANIEL STURRIDGE’S NIGHTMARE run of injuries simply will not end.

BBC Sport report that the Liverpool striker is set to miss “several weeks” after he strained his hamstring in the defeat at Newcastle on Sunday.

It leaves Sturridge as a major doubt at one of the busiest times of the Reds’ season.

Jürgen Klopp’s side travel to Sion in the Europa League on Thursday before facing West Brom on Sunday. They then begin a hectic Christmas run which includes Premier League games against Watford, league leaders Leicester, Sunderland and West Ham in quick succession.

Sturridge has only made six appearances for the Reds this season, and missed almost two months with a knee injury before returning to action against Swansea late last month.
