THE SKY SPORTS cameras visited Tallaght Stadium this week to catch up with Damien Duff.
The former Ireland international picked his One To Eleven side for the Fantasy Football Club… and it’s pretty impressive.
Mark Schwarzer takes the goalkeeper’s jersey in what Duff admits is a surprise decision; Shay Given will be straight onto the Irish 100-cappers Whatsapp group to complain, you expect.
Denis Irwin beats the likes of Gary Kelly and Steve Finnan to the right back spot while Ian Harte slots in at the other full back position.
Richard Dunne partners Duff’s former Chelsea skipper John Terry at the heart of the defence.
Roy and Robbie Keane make up the rest of the Irish members down the spine of the side with the likes of Frank Lampard and Arjen Robben getting the call up. Here’s the full side; what do you think?
A very good squad and really shows the young talent in LOI but would have liked Reghba in there, not sure if he’s officially still LOI though. These supplemented with the likes of Kelleher,Nolan,Masterson,Parrott,Obafemi,Johansson,O’Conno,rConnolly,Idah,Ronan and Doyle-Hayes is exciting!
@Nic Antonio: A clear indication that Reghba is bound for Leicester? Kenny name-checked him as a home based player that he’d involve.
Kenny a great appointment ; there’ll be serious strides made with him.
A lad born and reared in Dundalk declaring for the North.
I’ve seen it all now.
@Colm O’Sullivan: Yeah, you must not have seen this lad though.
Really enjoy Andrews punditry very modern day take on the game glad to see him involved fresh ideas.
What’s the story with the lad who declared for the North there so? Does he just refuse ROI or has he changed his mind again? Strange after declaring there. Nice squad
Will Fitzgerald (limerick) so good they named him twice
That Ireland jersey from
2013 Andrews is pictured in was mint!
@Colm O’Sullivan: Mint green ? Not sure it is
