Is this Crumlin United's under 7s or FC Barcelona?

Sean McDonnell is the player we all aspired to be at 7… or any age, for that matter.

THIS IS THE type of goal we all dreamed of scoring while playing underage football. Unfortunately, the ball usually ended up going out for a throw-in.

However, young Sean McDonnell of Crumlin United, along with the help of team-mate Sam Cowzer, has come along to show us how it should be done.

Sean, who’s just seven-years-old, scored this sublime goal for his club and thankfully Tanya Sheridan was there to capture it on camera. Crumlin United have shared the footage from their Facebook page for us all to savour.

Sean intercepted a pass and beat his opponent with a slick turn. Sam then gained possession, before returning the ball to Sean with a back-heel. The finish from there was sheer class.

The post on Crumlin United’s Facebook page added:

This creative play & skill is a product of good coaching & a great decision by the DDSL (Dublin & District Schoolboys League) to have no league tables & points at stake for our younger players. This allows the kids to express themselves without the fear of losing a game at an age were [sic] it doesn’t matter.”

When I grow up I want to be able to play like Sean McDonnell.
