TEN-TIME CHAMPIONS Crossmaglen Rangers closed in on another Ulster title as they set up a final clash with Scotstown of Monaghan.
Tony and Aaron Kernan kicked three points apiece as Cross beat Kilcoo in Páirc Esler this afternoon.
The sides went in level at 0-3 apiece after a low-scoring first half before Oisin McConville and John McEntee’s side turned the screw.
Kilcoo sub Dominic McEvoy was sent off for a second yellow with seven minutes to play as Cross turned their sights to an 11th provincial crown.
Standing in their way are Scotstown who edged out Trillick of Tyrone by two points in Brewster Park.
County star Darren Hughes scored 2-2 as the Monaghan side battled to a 2-9 to 2-7 win.
“Crossmaglen are a superb team but our attitude is fabulous and we’ll just give it our best,” joint-manager Mattie McGleenan told BBC Sport.
“I’m not saying we’ll beat Crossmaglen, just that we will give them a good game.”
