Connacht centre Ronaldson ruled out for over a month, will miss big European and inter-pro clashes

Matt Healy and Ronan Loughney are being reintegrated in training after suffering non-match inflicted injuries last week.

CONNACHT HAVE RULED centre Craig Ronaldson out for at least a month after reviewing a scan on a thigh issue picked up in the win over Cardiff on 25 November.

The western province have ruled the goal-kicking playmaker out ‘until mid-January’ today, meaning he will miss the back-to-back Champions Cup clashes with Wasps, the seasonal inter-pros against Ulster and Munster as well as the trip to face high-flying Ospreys in the first weekend of the new year.

New out-half Marnitz Boshoff will also miss this weekend’s trip to Wasps. The South African will consult a shoulder specialist this week to get a recovery plan and timeframe.

Wing Matt Healy was a late withdrawal from the win over Treviso with a ‘minor knee injury’, but like Ronan Loughney (who tweaked his knee in training last week), will take part in squad training ahead of the European trip.
