ALL-IRELAND CHAMPIONS Corofin were given a late scare against Salthill-Knocknacarra in their opening Galway SFC clash on Saturday.
Corofin dominated for long stretches at Kenny Park but a late Shane Maughan penalty — his second of the afternoon — left just three points between the sides at the final whistle.
Gary Sice kicked five frees for Stephen Rochford’s side who led by the minimum, 0-5 to 0-4, at the break.
