The sides meet today for a second time this campaign. Tipperary suffered a 13-point beating at the hands of Cork in the Munster final back in July.
But Liam Cahill’s men recovered with an impressive six-point win over Leinster champions Galway in the All-Ireland semi-final to book a rematch with the Rebels. Cahill is one of the favourites to become the next Premier senior boss and a shock win today would do his chances of succeeding Michael Ryan no harm at all.
Cork are backboned by youngsters who’ve won the last two Munster senior titles – including star players Mark Coleman, Darragh Fitzgibbon and Shane Kingston.
Tipp will be relying on Ger Browne, Paudie Feehan, Jake Morris and Cian Darcy to lead from the front in what should be an entertaining affair. Throw-in is at 5.30pm.
