HISTORY WILL BE made at next month’s Cork GAA convention when the first female chairperson of their county board will be elected.
Current vice-chairperson Tracey Kennedy is the only candidate for the role following the close of nominations and thus she will be elected next month.

The Killeagh native has been vice-chairperson of the Cork county board for the past three years and previously served as PRO. She will succeed the current chairman Ger Lane.

In 2014 Roisin Jordan became the first female chairperson of a GAA county board when she was ratified for the top job in Tyrone.
