Cork and Dublin set for showdown after hurling qualifier draw

Ger Cunningham is set to take on his native county.

CORK AND DUBLIN will face off in the glamour tie in Round 1 of the All-Ireland senior hurling qualifiers after this morning’s draw.

The Rebels, who lost out to Tipperary in Munster last month, will have home advantage against a Dublin team that lost out in Leinster to Kilkenny recently.

There’ll be an all-Leinster clash with Wexford and Offaly seeking to bounce back from their respective provincial losses to Dublin and Galway.

Limerick lost out against Tipperary in yesterday’s Munster semi-final and must now face an away tie against Westmeath for the second successive year.

Finally Clare will have home advantage against Laois as they seek to respond to their Munster championship reversal against Waterford.

The games will be played on the weekend of 2nd/3rd July.
