Another stunning goal after 120-yard run by Cork minor footballer in schools match

Dan Ó Duinnín has a track record of brilliant goals.

THE TRIBUTES POURED in over the weekend for Cork minor footballer Dan Ó Duinnín after his two stunning goals in last Friday night’s All-Ireland Post-Primary senior C football final.

Ó Duinnín hit the net twice after two lung-bursting runs for Coláiste Ghobnatan (Ballyvourney) in a game where they lost narrowly to Kildare’s Árdscoil Rathagan in Portarlington.

But maybe we shouldn’t be too surprised at the quality of Ó Duinnín’s strikes as he has a track record in this regard.

JC O’Shea, who caught the goals on Friday night, has uploaded a video today to the Sideline Eye YouTube account, of Ó Duinnín hitting the net for the school earlier this year at the Munster semi-final stage.

The Cill Na Martra club man picks up the ball on his own 20-yard line and runs the length of the pitch, exchanges passes and finds the net after a 120-yard run.

Little wonder, he’s been picked at midfield for the Cork minor footballers who take on Limerick on Wednesday night in the Gaelic Grounds.
