McGregor: 'Every human deserves equal rights. We are all one'

The UFC star is hoping for a ‘Yes’ vote in Friday’s same-sex marriage referendum.

CONOR McGREGOR IS currently in Las Vegas preparing for this summer’s UFC featherweight world title bout against Jose Aldo.

He won’t be able to have his say at the polls as a result, but the Irish mixed martial arts star is urging people to vote ‘Yes’ in this Friday’s same-sex marriage referendum.

McGregor tweeted: “Myself and my team are urging everyone to please VOTE YES TO EQUALITY! Every human deserves equal rights #WeAreAllOne”

McGregor is one of several Irish sportspeople to have backed the ‘Yes’ campaign, although Dublin footballer Ger Brennan voiced his preference for a ‘No’ vote last week.
