Injury setback for 2013 Cork hurling champions as Lehane is ruled out

Conor Lehane will miss out on Midleton’s upcoming games.

CORK SENIOR HURLER Conor Lehane has been hit with an injury setback after tearing his quad muscle and will miss out as his club Midleton attempt to claim back the county senior hurling title that they last won in 2013.

Lehane was in action in Midleton’s recent Cork senior hurling fourth round victory against St Finbarr’s but suffered the injury in a challenge game against Waterford side Tallow.

Midleton boss Jerry Wallis confirmed to The Evening Echo today that Lehane will now miss their county senior hurling quarter-final against Douglas along with a potential semi-final against Glen Rovers or Newtownshandrum.
