ON TUESDAY NIGHT, Manchester City scraped past Wolves to reach the Carabao Cup quarter-finals.
120 minutes of football couldn’t separate the sides, but Claudio Bravo was the hero on the evening, saving two spot-kicks as City won out 4-1 on penalties.
Ireland U21 international Connor Ronan was sprung from the bench for Wolves in the 72nd minute and impressed, gaining some traction on social media as the game went on.
At the other end, Kevin De Bruyne was introduced by the Premier League leaders, and he slotted home in the shoot-out.
A brilliant picture — and video — is doing the rounds today, where Ronan looks absolutely stunned that De Bruyne approached him in the tunnel afterwards, asking for his jersey.
He obviously impressed the Belgian too, and it’s sure to come as a huge confidence boost to the 19-year-old talent.
We absolutely love this! Yes @ConnorRonan10 Kevin De Bruyne wanted your shirt! #sorcerersapprentice #YoungWolf pic.twitter.com/JS4jma026J

He looks like a snood, tights and gloves in March kind of guy….typical Arsenal so
@Brian O’Loughlin: ya ’cause only arsenal players wear gloves. I don’t care if he wears a dress as long as he scores goals
Was hoping Liverpool might get him but it doesn’t look like we’re getting a striker
Costa to Athletico in January so
