Colm Cooper is back scoring points for the first time in over a year

The Kerry forward played the full game for Dr Crokes.

THERE WAS MORE encouraging news for Kerry football fans yesterday, as Colm Cooper played his first full competitive game in over a year.

Having suffered a cruciate knee ligament rupture in February 2014, Cooper made his long-awaited return as a substitute for Kerry in last weekend’s Allianz Football League draw with Tyrone.

However, the 31-year-old forward started and finished a Kerry County League Division One game for his club yesterday. Cooper kicked this nice point as the Crokes ran out 0-16 to 0-9 winners over Kilcummin.
