Having suffered a cruciate knee ligament rupture in February 2014, Cooper made his long-awaited return as a substitute for Kerry in last weekend’s Allianz Football League draw with Tyrone.
However, the 31-year-old forward started and finished a Kerry County League Division One game for his club yesterday. Cooper kicked this nice point as the Crokes ran out 0-16 to 0-9 winners over Kilcummin.
