UCC claim Collingwood Cup title with impressive final display

Trinity were well beaten in Galway.

UNIVERSITY COLLEGE CORK were crowned Collingwood Cup champions once again this afternoon.

The Leeside outfit comfortably beat Trinity College 3-1 at Galway’s Eamonn Deacy Park.

UCC went three goals up through Calvin O’Callaghan, Daniel Pender and a Rufus Holmes header immediately after his introduction.

Trinity pulled back a consolation goal through a Ciarán McGahan penalty in injury time. Goalkeeper Dave Minihane was named player of the tournament.

    Connolly had a serious court final. Mad or take on the man nearly every ball. Could be a serious find, in time.
