Italy’s Sara Berardinelli came very close to feeling the full force of gravity during the Gymnix Junior Cup in Canada this week. She bounced her lower back off one of the uneven bars and hurtled head first towards the floor.

Her coach knows her well though, and moves in to the safety net position to catch her before the floor does.

Unperturbed, wee Berardinelli got up, chalked up her hands again and got back on the bar for another go.
The result was almost exactly the same.
