With a place in the final on the line, the stakes were high in Carlow and the awful conditions only added to the drama – and made for some great photos.
It was Wicklow who prevailed after what can only be described as an attritional encounter as they edged out a 16-13 victory to advance to the decider.
Photographer Sharon Flanagan braved the elements to capture all the action and although the result didn’t go her team’s way, at least she has the consolation of these great images.
